15 gennaio 1968 – La mia casa --- Nella notte tra il 14 e il 15 gennaio 1968 una forte scossa di terremoto colpì la valle del Belice in Sicilia. Furono colpiti tanti paesi e alcuni furono rasi al suolo. Tra questi ultimi ci fu Gibellina, dove io ho vissuto i miei primi anni di vita sino al 1962, anno in cui la mia famiglia si trasferì a Milano. Questa della foto era la casa dove abitavamo. Le altre foto descrivono la gravità di quello che successe allora. Il paese fu poi ricostruito, dopo tanti anni, più a valle, perdendo però le caratteristiche sia delle abitazioni che del tipo di vita delle persone che lo abitavano. Al posto dei ruderi, anni dopo, venne costruito l'opera “Cretto di Burri”. Foto fatta nel 1980 e digitalizzata da negativo.
