San Giorgio Monferrato è un ridente paesino sulle colline del Monferrato casalese di poco più di mille abitanti. L'abitato - dominato dalla massiccia struttura dell'antico castello “Ricaldone”, che risale probabilmente al X secolo - è immerso nei vigneti circostanti dai quali si ricava l'ottimo “Grignolino”, un vino rosso rubino-chiaro che si accompagna bene con salumi, primi piatti leggeri e secondi di carne. Assolutamente perfetto con il fritto misto alla piemontese.
