14.08.2018 La nostra seconda alba al Khwai è stata dedicata alla caccia dei Leoni nella zona di confine con il Chobe N.P. (Mababe Forest). Stavamo seguendo le tracce del felino lungo la pista quando ad un tratto la nostra guida Lucky si accorse che le stesse fecero inversione di marcia...e proprio mentre stavamo facendo manovra con la nostra Jeep per continuare la ricerca...la mia compagna vide a pochi metri da noi tra il bush una splendida Leonessa che si stava godendo l'alba africana. Wow che condizioni di luce...ci appostiamo per fare qualche ritratto e dopo pochi minuti dal bush si sentono rumori sospetti, pochi secondi ed ecco comparire il primo di tre cuccioli...i più piccoli che siamo mai riusciti a vedere in Africa (dovrebbero aver avuto circa 20 giorni). La madre li accudiva in modo amorevole e appena sorto il sole (con una splendida luce) decise di spostarli in un'altra tana più sicura (le Leonesse per proteggere i cuccioli spostano molto frequentemente la loro tana fino al ricongiungimento col branco). E' stato complicato per la mamma convincere tutti e tre i suoi piccoli che era giunto il momento di trasferirsi, noi siamo stati fortunati ad essere gli unici a poter godere di una scena indimenticabile. #safari #sunrise #wild
