Il lago di Chiusi è un bacino lacustre della Toscana situato nella val di Chiana senese, pochi chilometri a nord-est della località da cui prende il nome, non lontano dal lago di Montepulciano rispetto al quale si trova pochi chilometri a sud-est. Per quanto riguarda gli uccelli, il lago ospita numerose specie di ardeidi, come, ad esempio, la garzetta, l'airone rosso e, dal 1999, il rarissimo mignattaio. La zona è anche punto di sosta per gli uccelli migratori come il falco pescatore o il cavaliere d'Italia. Altre specie nidificanti sono lo svasso maggiore, il pendolino ed il raro basettino. Le sue acque sono però infestate da numerosi crostacei alloctoni come il gambero rosso della Louisiana e il gambero americano. Area protetta......
