Tornando alla polemica, quello che importa, a mio avviso, nella fotografia naturalistica è il contenuto. Oltre che bella una fotografia deve essere anche realistica, quello che dice deve essere veritiero.
Ho già criticato qui sullo juza fotografie bellissime fatte con tecniche raffinatissime e con risultati molto accattivanti, di animali ripresi in contesti astrusi. Fatte semplicemente perchè l'autore non conosce quel animale (spesso si tratta di insetti perchè meno conosciuti) e non coglie l'errore commesso o non ha una "sensibilità" naturalistica. Per esempio una mantide non va fotografata in una pozzanghera del torrente. Perche? Semplicemente perchè non è il suo ambiente. Vive negli ambienti secchi, nei cespugli o su muretti a secco. Sull'acqua può esserci arrivata anche occasionalmente e naturalmente ma non ha senso riprenderla in quel contesto. Ed è inutile giurare di non averla posizionata lì ma di avercela trovata.
Così come è inutile discutere qui se l'insetto sia vivo o morto.
Poi bisogna dire che molto spesso gli insetti ripresi vivi possono sembrare morti e assumere posizioni innaturali. Possono farlo volutamente (si chiama tanatosi) o possono essere inattivi per il freddo.
