It deserves from 30,000 views and up. That a photographic genre is not learned overnight is indisputable; even today, after 39 years, I find myself wrong in mine. A curiosity, 29 hours is obviously the sum of multiple exposures but almost all of them I think have been prolonged; Did the sensor come out unsoid?

Beautiful!
It's not my kind but I've been an astrophysicist in times gone by and wondered how I could gather so much light.
I made it clear, a very long exposure time.
Gran nice job.

But it's strange a black hole that attracts mass from another black hole

@Star Trek, M51 is a galaxy of Seyfert and is assumed to host a black hole inside. I don't remember if M51bis (NGC...) is also in the same category.
E3ly not strange: it operates its main gravitational pull on the nearest arm of the companion.
It's not that the black hole should eat the whole galaxy: at some point, given the distances it will stop being active.
This in very simplified terms.
Nick payments... ;-)

Thank you again to those who intervened!
@Boghero, the problem of light pollution is around it, as far as possible, by photographing on the clearest nights and through the use of selective filters. Not least the choice of very tall subjects in the sky that is the area least prone to light pollution.

@Iz3hbt
I escaped several times into the deep plateau.. I assure you that.. in certain areas, you walk peacefully at night without a full moon with the lights of the plain.. I don't have telescopes or filters. trackers... Just an APS with optics...

@Boghero, yes, I know the area discreetly and I've done some astrophotos, but I usually go on The Grappa which is more comfortable. For sure they are darker places than the Po Valley and help a lot in the photos, and I share the fact that the plain still illuminates the sky very much especially to the south.
From home you are hampered, but it is not impossible.
I often go hiking at night and in the last 15 years the situation has worsened: if you climb when on the plain is covered by fog you will see a noticeable improvement.
