Quest'immagine pescata dal mio archivio, si riferisce alla bellissima crociera fluviale: Il cammino degli zar, da Mosca a San Pietroburgo, lungo l'anello d'oro. E' perfetta per scoprire i fiumi tra foreste di betulle e grandi distese d'erba, si ammira il paesaggio, si scende per brevi escursioni a terra, ci si rilassa contemplando le meraviglie di un Paese-continente. E si scoprono così piccoli villaggi, affascinanti monumenti, chiese dalle mille cupole dorate e colorate – luoghi in cui sarebbe difficile o impossibile arrivare via terra. Quello che vedete in foto è un albero di Melograno che ho ammirato e fotografato a Uglič in russo: ??????, un'antica città della Russia situato nell'Oblast' di Jaroslavl', nella Russia europea. Fondata sulle sponde del fiume Volga, appartiene al cosiddetto Anello d'Oro ed è capoluogo dell'Ugličskij rajon. Quest'albero sorgeva solitario vicino al Cremlino di Ouglitch. La città è stata attaccata a Rostov fino al XIII° secolo. Successivamente servì da prigione per i principi di Mosca caduti.
