- Nikon D3 - Nikon 20mm - 1/15sec f/20 iso400 - Il Bromo vulcan, con un altezza di 2392m, è uno dei vulcani più attivi dell'isola di Java. La sua attività si è ulteriormente intensificata a novembre/dicembre dello scorso anno. A gennaio di quest'anno in un eruzione il suo getto di lava ha raggiunto i 200m, ricoprendo di cenere tutte le zone circostanti e costringendo con i suoi fumi alla chiusura per alcuni giorni degli aeroporti dell'intera isola. Il Bromo è situato nel parco nazionale "Bromo Tengger Semeru", a sud di Java, Il suo nome deriva dal nome di Brahma, il Dio creatore della trimurti induista. Nei suoi pressi sopravvive una delle poche comunità indù presenti a Java.
