i cervi sardi si sono cosi evoluti con dimensioni del corpo più piccole rispetto al cervo nobile europero per vivere nella 'macchia-foresta' della sardegna,. lo stesso palco è privo di particolari ramificazioni che negli spazi angusti del bosco potrebbero rappresentare un intralcio ma il bramito è tutt'altra cosa: cupo e tonante e decisamente più 'sonoro' rispetto alla specie continentale. uno scatto del 2016 che mostra un maschio campione di cervo sardo che dopo aver appena sconfitto un rivale più giovane, risale un piccolo costoncino bramendo e urinando a rivendicare il dominio sul branco di femmine. scatto ,NO CROP, effettuato da un capanno improvvisato ricavato tra i cespugli di cisto (Cistus monspeliensis). valore di esposizione (eV)-0,67.
