All'inizio degli anni '50 mio padre (col violino, al centro della foto), come secondo lavoro, organizzò una piccola orchestra da ballo che si esibiva nei locali appena aperti in quegli anni di laboriosa e felice ricostruzione. C' erano i primi concorsi canori, i primi San Remo trasmessi solo alla radio, spopolavano Nilla Pizzi, Carla Boni, Natalino Otto, Flo Sandon's, l'indimenticabile e sfortunato Fred Buscaglione… Della attrezzatura facevano parte anche alcuni leggii in cui il nome dell' orchestra "gaddi" era scritto con note musicali in alluminio simulanti appunto la "ragione sociale della ditta". L' attività proseguì fino al 1961, poi uscirono i Beatles e allora...
