La Torre fu costruita nel Cinquecento a Ge Nervi, per rafforzare un sistema difensivo contro i continui attacchi del Corsaro Turco Dragut, che verso la meta' del 1500 spargeva terrore sulle coste italiane. In particolare non vedeva di buon occhio Genova, avendo passato 4 anni ai remi come schiavo prigioniero di guerra. Torre dei fieni perche' esisteva un sistema d'allarme fatto di segnali di fumo che passava anche attraverso la Lanterna di Genova, i contrafforti sulle alture e via via comunicava attraversando la pianura fino a Milano. - - Tutte le foto contenute in queste gallerie sono copyright Alessandro Traverso e non possono essere utilizzate in alcuna forma senza il consenso dell'autore.
