Hello Nemesi9191
I'm happy you liked this picture.
Shot from the terrace of the Sacrarium of Christ the King. Panorama similar to that of the forecourt below, but higher and therefore with wider scope.
Thank you so much for the beautiful comment and lots of Happy New Year

Place of departure and very thick passing place. One of the flaws of the city of Messina, to be passing ;-)
Thank you for your nice comment and for the best wishes you will spare. Happy 2020!

The best prerogative of Messina is its location on the Strait with its striking views. The port is a natural port, it looks like it was the crater of an ancient volcano. Its slat shape is characteristic and protects the city from the sea.
Happy you liked this shot. ;-)
Thank you and thank you for the best wishes I help. Happy 2020

Hello Agata, I'm glad you liked this image and that you also liked the caption, which evoked memories. Messina, a passing city for many Sicilians who have moved to study or work. Until a few years ago, before the low-cost flights, the journey was most often faced by train or car, so, the passage on the ferry, from one side to the other of the Strait of Messina marked and marks, the detachment from the beloved island to the continent, vice versa marks the return "home". Emotions in one case and another: perhaps observing the two coasts, lulled by the sea or eating one of the famous "arancini", returning to listen to familiar idiomas.
Thank you very much for sharing emotions.
A dear greeting
A soon
Sergio
