-- Appostato in un fosso ai bordi di un campo ho potuto ammirare un piccolo stormo di ibis eremita che si nutriva di vermi ed insetti. Distruzione dell'habitat naturale e impiego massiccio di fitofarmaci nell'agricoltura intensiva hanno portato alla quasi estinzione dell'Ibis Eremita. --> In Europa vivono pochi esemplari allo stato semiselvatico grazie a programmi di reintroduzione: è stato messo a punto un programma austriaco specifico ("Life+ Ibis Eremita") in modo che gli uccelli possano seguire in volo un ultraleggero, che li accompagna dalla fredda regione austriaca alle zone più calde dell'Italia centrale, dato che in natura i giovani ibis apprendono la rotta migratoria seguendo i genitori. #Wild #StorieDiPiume
