On the noise already they said, but what convinces me is the psychedelic aspect of the colors of The Martin... they're not real! If I wanted an 'artistic' shot it's fine... but this is not naturalistic photography ;-)

@Fabio: I have reviewed the original, comparing my image to the jpeg (I always shoot in both RAW and jpeg but, of course, edit the RAW file) The blues are very similar but I admit that the orange is a little brighter Sorriso

. I'm sure that you are aware that the colours of a kingfisher do not always appear the same.

Between the background and the subject there is a diversity of abnormal light I think created in post production, this created a psicadelic image in my opinion. Try to review the development to look for something more natural ;-) as well as better fixing the background noise and finesse of detail.

. I have other kingfisher images that I will edit in the light of your advice. This particular image reflects what I felt I saw - but there will have been the excitement of the moment encompassed in that - I was able to stand little more than a metre away, in a totally natural, unstaged environment, watching this bird Eeeek!!!
