In response to Marco50, curly pelicans and other subspecies can also be photographed at the Danube Delta from May to the beginning of August, there are millions of them and you can rent barges that take you around the delta. In recent years there are many photonaturalists who go right there to photograph them.
As you saw in my galleries I went to Greek Macedonia where there is a beautiful colony, Thanks for the answer and congratulations again for the shot and for the story
Mark

Well come on, I'm nobody for charity and mistakes like this you'll find galore in my photos. but wouldn't it have been more honest and humble to say, "Yes, it's true, it was my mistake"?
You can't entrench yourself behind the "compositional choice" because the composition has precise and strict rules to abide by...
Photography is an art that cannot be left to the subjective sense, but is objective...
All this with sympathy and humility...

true the rules are there, but you also have to know how to go further, and not fossilize, of this pelican that is now no longer there because he died, I have a lot, this time I wanted to dare, maybe wrong also, but why not?with sympathy cinzia ;-)
