Credo di saper rispondere io, o almeno spero. Io con la Sony scatto i notturni a 800 per godere del secondo "scalino" di gamma dinamica, che il sensore attiva dai 640 ISO in poi.
Usare ISO più alti non avrebbe senso, perché tanto si perderebbe solo gamma dinamica sulle alte luci (le stelle).
Usare ISO più bassi (100) e aumentarli in post, porta invece a una ridotta gamma alle basse luci, proprio per il famoso "scalino" situato intorno ai 640 ISO, tipico delle fotocamere Sony.
