Great shot..... although I believe that in this kind of manifestation scan animals (in this case horses) are mistreated and exploited for a meager human need for 'glory'. Of course it's just my point of view and no one is offended by my consideration.

Dear Matteo are always on the side of animals but in Sardinia there is a deep bond between the horse and man an ancient bond, I do not deny that many are mistreated but many are treated very well because there is great passion and love for their horse and in this race I know many horses died but also many men and you go towards ruin in an indissoluble union, in the end I kept neutral not being able to truly judge something ancient and primordial that as a civilized man I can not understand, a dear greeting , Josephine

Great your story, with so much pride for your land and Sardinian horses, I at Aretino did not know anything about what you described with such emphasis and dress 90 km from Siena.
Congratulation sway for all your efforts to show all of us that you should not be treated like the "Mediterranean Indians" but that the continent should be more respectful and purposeful for the wonderful Sardinian land.
A big hug dear friend Emme :-)

How you only knew that!!! Really take us inside the scene, beautiful and fantastic horses as well as the jockeys, the context of the sanctuary of St. Constantine, all made in Sardinia, you can be proud of it. So many compliments, I would very much like to attend the next event in July. A dear hug, greetings from Peter. Lights

@Emmegiu to hear it tell with passion and deep love of these wonderful creatures with the same depth of mind that distinguishes the authentic Siena fills my heart with so much happiness.
We often forget that those well-known faces and well-known names come from a wonderful land to which the Palio owes much, perhaps more than it may seem.
The horse is the living essence from the Festival and without him we would be very little.
Friendly Greetings,
Jacopo.
