Dedico questa mia fotografia a Paolo Borsellino con la quale voglio rappresentare la frase da lui pronunciata : «Se la gioventù le negherà il consenso, anche l'onnipotente e misteriosa mafia svanirà come un incubo.» L'oscurità della volta nera come in un incubo mafioso svanisce in una lucente e lastricata via, di una speranzosa gioventù che le nega il consenso. Questo è quello che ne ho ricavato osservando questo mio scatto. Paolo Emanuele Borsellino magistrato italiano, assassinato da Cosa nostra nella strage di via D'Amelio il 19 luglio 1992 assieme ai cinque agenti della sua scorta: Agostino Catalano, Emanuela Loi (prima donna a far parte di una scorta e anche prima donna della Polizia di Stato a cadere in servizio, Vincenzo Li Muli, Walter Eddie Cosina e Claudio Traina. Assieme al collega e amico Giovanni Falcone, Paolo Borsellino è considerato una delle personalità più importanti e prestigiose nella lotta alla mafia in Italia e a livello internazionale.
