Il Ponte Alessandro III (Pont Alexandre III) è ii più celebre ponte di Parigi. Edificato sulla Senna, il ponte funge da collegamento tra il Grand Palais e il Petit Palais con l'Hôtel des Invalides, la storica casa di riposo per gli invalidi di guerra che attualmente ospita al suo interno anche la tomba di Napoleone. Lo stile “art nouveau” è un tributo all'alleanza franco-prussiana, con sculture allegoriche, emblemi raffiguranti cavalli dorati e decorazioni uniche tra i ponti della città. Fin dall'inaugurazione, in occasione dell'esposizione universale del 1900, questo è rimasto uno dei ponti più ricchi di ornamenti e più visitati della capitale francese, un vero e proprio tributo alle epoche definitive che hanno trasformato la storia di Parigi. Le numerose decorazioni del ponte contengono molti riferimenti a varie epoche storiche francesi: dal medioevo al rinascimento, fino all'epoca di Luigi XIV (il “re sole”) e all'era contemporanea. Questo importante monumento storico, lungo 160 metri, largo 40 metri, costruito con un'unica arcata lunga 107 metri, è riconosciuto come tale sin dal 1975.
