Un 1 maggio assolato e deserto, all'angolo di casa mia, il solito chiosco, mi fermo di colpo, perché mi colpisce il colore di questi fiori (fra l'altro sono ignorante e non so nemmeno il loro nome), e guardandoli, dico quasi ad alta voce: "Toh!...il famoso color mauve della Camilla Cederna" Tutti sanno che questa famosissima giornalista milanese sempre in guerra perenne con l'Oriana Fallaci, ha dissacrato mezzo mondo borghese con le sue acute e spesso, ingenerose cronache. Fui mandata ad intervistarla nel 1984, sei anni dopo l'uscita del suo libro più famoso: "La Carriera di un Presidente", oltre 600 mila copie vendute, un successo editoriale clamoroso che diventò il principale atto di accusa nei confronti del presidente della Repubblica, Giovanni Leone, al punto di determinarne le dimissioni. Sinceramente ci andai controvoglia, sono sincera, non ne avevo una grande stima per il lato umano del personaggio Cederna. Fui ricevuta in un immenso salone, pieno di oggetti bellissimi, gatti, e libri che tappezzavano interamente le pareti. Parlammo dell'argomento più scottante di quegli anni, le accuse contro Enzo Tortora. Lei, naturalmente ne aveva scritte di tutti i colori: "...Mi pare che ci siano gli elementi per trovarlo colpevole: non si va ad ammanettare uno nel cuore della notte se non ci sono delle buone ragioni. Il personaggio non mi è mai piaciuto. Stamattina vedendo questi fiori, mi è tornata in mente in quel lontano pomeriggio milanese, in cui sciorinandomi le sue invettive contro i personaggi, appena citati, indossava uno stupendo maglione viola, ma per lei, non era viola, era color mauve, il famoso e parigino mauve Cederna.
