I felt that this was an image best left untitled, as the image speaks for itself, although the word 'marginalised' has been mentioned in several of you comments and would perhaps make an appropriate title.
In reality, I think there was nothing desperate in the scene - the power of photography is amazing in that it can convey so many messages! The truth is that this was a grab shot with the camera only vaguely pointed in the direction of the man. I had planned to crop the image later for a composition that I liked but in fact no crop was needed - I was delighted with the image as it was taken!
