Very dramatic - both the ruin with its poised figure and the sky!

One day I went to photograph the castle of Burgos and looking for a high point I climbed with difficulty, with all my heavy equipment including a large trestle, on a steep ridge overlooking the small village of the same name, while fumbling to better frame the castle a shepherd who grazed his sheep in the land below saw me and approached saying "But you know the legend of the ghost of Don Blas?" and I "No ever heard" Then I'll tell you, one of my ancestor shepherd too, one day looking for a lost sheep, he accidentally entered the castle's basement, wandering in the dim light of the corridors of the ruins, his foot bumped into something. He had matches with him and a small notebook on which he wrote down his thin outings, with matches lit a few sheets to get light and with great wonder he saw that on the floor there was a cauldron full of gold. He was about to grab it to take it away when he suddenly heard a roar, the earth and the walls began to shake. My relative named Ciccittu, remembering the legend of the ghost of Don Blas he had heard as a child, immediately escaped in terror. He reached the village and immediately went to the parish priest asking him to read the scriptures to free him from fright. The story told by Ciccittu intrigued the priest to the point that that same evening he went to the castle in the company of the sacristan. With the sacred vestments, the holy water and the books necessary for the exorcisms, the two religious walked towards the castle with the intention of taking possession of the treasure kept in its rooms. Following Ciccittu's directions they reached the treasure, but once in front of the precious cauldron the sacristan could not resist the temptation to grasp it. As his hands touched the receptacle the terrible ghost of Don Blas appeared. The priest immediately worked to pronounce the sacred formulas that would have expelled him, but he did not have time and the ghost poured a rain of fire on the two unfortunates, burning them instantly. Since then, as far as we know, no one has ever ventured into the enterprise. From this place where we are now, at dusk, I see a dark figure on the walls of the castle that makes me shiver even though I'm not afraid of anything, do not you believe it? Wait for him to come down in the evening and see, he turned and walked quickly he went to his flock that grazed a little lower, I thought he was ranting anyway I waited for the dusk but nothing I saw nothing, then I took my equipment and I went away, but the story ruminated in my head and I went back to that place other times and always nothing was going chilled telling me that I was just stupid to believe that story, the fourth time when I was about to leave because the darkness loomed I could see the sparkling and pungent air that stood on the stands with his imposing and terrible figure, a shiver ran through my back with trembling hands I managed to take a picture but immediately after the ghost disappeared, I was incredulous and still trembling even for the icy evening I picked up my things and without even considering if I had actually photographed a ghost I went down the slope and left quickly for my house. Some will think that this is a story that I invented, no this is a true story.

Bravo Emme! Cool
