Conservo ancora un bellissimo ricordo della Basilica della Santissima Trinità di Saccargia, che mi apparve improvvisamente come un miraggio nella luce che precede il tramonto, mentre facevo ritorno alla Maddalena. Allora feci qualche foto, ma per una simile opera architettonica solo la tua maestria può restituire tutto il fascino del luogo... Resto in trepidante attesa..... Gianka” Questo mi chiese il capitano Gianka (Green is the colour) un paio di giorni fa ed io obbedisco al capitano anche perché mi dovevo sdebitare del grande sacrificio che gli ho chiesto di accompagnare la baronessa Engelberta in un viaggio di piacere e di ingraziarsela così da poter ereditare l'Arrigo III° necessario per il nostro storico viaggio trans'oceanico. Dedico questa immagine realizzata con i miei limitati mezzi tecnici e artistici a tutti gli amici e soprattutto a quelli che soffrono o passano un momento di disagio, in particolare a Tim, Arrigo e a Toni. Un abbraccio a tutti - La foto è fatta al tramonto ieri sera tardi. ------------------------------------La basilica di Saccargia La basilica di Saccargia appare improvvisa percorrendo la SS Olbia-Sassari. Attraversando la valle intercollinare nel comune di Codrongianos, vedrete in lontananza la guglia del campanile. L' impatto con la sua imponenza è davvero forte ed emozionante. Inconfondibile nello sfondo con la sua rigatura orizzontale bicolore in pietra policroma. Il suo punto di forza è sicuramente la sua posizione, al vertice di una valle, in piena campagna logudorese. Rallentare è instintivo, fermarsi per ammirare il sito è d' obbligo! La basilica della SS. Trinità di Saccargia, è tra le chiese romanico-pisane più famose della Sardegna. E' stata edificata nel corso del XII secolo ad opera dell' Ordine Camaldonese. Fu consacrata nel 1116, in seguito alla donazione di Costantino I, giudice di Torres. Si racconta che egli e la moglie riuscirono ad avere un figlio solo in seguito ad un voto alla Madonna. I Camaldolesi venerarono e per riconoscenza fecero realizzare un monastero. La basilica faceva parte di un grande complesso monastico di cui sono visibili i resti.
