Samsung Galaxy express 2. Torcello - 4 giugno 2017- ore 13,46. In un piccolo canale dell'isola , appare questa estiva visione...ormeggiamo lo scafo all'ombra delle acacie e delle tamerici per un pic-nic in barca ; ) ----------------Ps : Strano ma vero : sto rivalutando il b/n ! ---------------------------La casa sorge sull'isola di San Giovanni Evangelista, collegata a Torcello da un piccolo ponte. E' l'unico edificio rimasto intatto, facente parte dell'antico complesso di San Giovanni Evangelista eretto prima dell'anno 1000, nella quale basilica (vi sono le rovine in giardino) erano conservate le spoglie di Santa Barbara cui venne dedicato il convento di suore sorto in seguito e distrutto definitivamente in epoca Napoleonica. La casa, un piccolo palazzetto gotico, era la foresteria del convento. Divenuta abitazione di pescatori e contadini fu restaurata insieme all'ampio giardino negli anni '50 assumendo l'aspetto attuale. Ora è un hotel. Può ospitare 14-15 persone.
