Il Sempervivum arachnoideum L. , comunemente chiamato Semprevivo ragnateloso, appartiene alla famiglia delle Crassulaceae . Fiorisce tra Giugno e Settembre ed è diffuso in tutta Italia, ad eccezione dell'estremo sud e delle isole, tra i 500 e gli oltre 3.000 metri di quota. Il nome del genere, che significa appunto semprevivo, sta ad indicare la straordinaria resistenza e la grande capacità di adattamento di queste piante ad ogni genere di ambiente e di quota e l'epiteto si riferisce alla frequentissima presenza di ragnatele sulle rosette basali. Scatto effettuato nel mese di Luglio 2018 in Alta Valfurva ad una quota di circa 1.750 m. slm .
