Rinomato per la lavorazione della maiolica, nota in tutto il mondo, il borgo di Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, che figura tra i più bei borghi francesi, forma un insieme di grande bellezza. Tipicamente provenzale, questo paese che sembra quasi un presepe, è dominato da una stella ricoperta di oro fino appesa a una lunga catena e trabocca di fascino, grazie a stradine e piazzette ideali per passeggiare, fontane rinfrescanti, botteghe e negozi di maioliche, e case dalle graziose facciate su cui torreggia l'imponente campanile romanico lombardo della chiesa di Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption. Gli amanti della ceramica non dovranno perdersi la visita al museo della Maiolica, che espone una notevole collezione di ceramiche fini – datate dal XVII secolo a oggi – realizzate dai grandi maestri maiolicai di Moustiers.
