immagine pregevole, a mio avviso è giusta l'esposizione poichè rende ottimale il colore dello scoiattolo.
Se avessi esposto, come suggeriva qualcuno, per le alte luci in spot, direttamente sulla neve avresti drammaticamente sottoesposto l'intera immagine.
fine image, in my opinion is just the exposure as it makes the best color of the squirrel.
If I had exposed as someone suggested, for highlights in spot, directly on the snow would dramatically underexposed the entire image. immagine pregevole, a mio avviso è giusta l'esposizione poichè rende ottimale il colore dello scoiattolo.

In genere io espongo per la neve con la lettura spot(in manuale se le condizioni rimangono stabili), stando attento a non bruciare(con l istogramma hai la certezza) ma a non renderla nemmeno troppo grigia. Poi al limite in post schiarisci un po' le ombre del soggetto

In teoria appunto avresti potuto fare questo, visto che la neve è certamente la zona con la luce più alta dell'inquadratura, potevi impostare la misurazione a spot in modalità scatto manuale , puntare sulla neve e aumentare di 2 stop e 1/3 ( come se stessi sovraesponendo ) e dopo ricomporre fregandotene dei valori sballati dell'esposimetro, avresti portato il tutto in condizioni perfette, ma il metodo dell'esposizione selettiva ( oltre ad essere più che altro adatto alla fotografia non dinamica ) presuppone anche che tu non faccia un errore "sovraesponendo" un bianco, ma piuttosto che abbia deciso di ottenerlo così nel risultato finale.
Il tutto risulta un po' complesso per questo genere di fotografia in cui l'"attimo" è più importante della perfezione esposimetrica ( o quasi ).
Quindi cosa voglio dire? Che la foto è molto bella e l'esposizione "al limite" che cancella un po' la trama della neve e stacca il soggetto dal resto della composizione per me è più che buona, anzi ne fa una foto eccellente!

In theory you could just do this, since the snow is certainly the area with the highest light of the frame, you could set the measuring spot in manual shooting mode, focus on snow and increase by 2 stops and 1/3 (as overexposing themselves) and then recompose fregandotene bogus values ??of the exposure, you would have brought it all in perfect condition, but the selective exposure method (as well as being mostly suited to photography not dynamic) presupposesalso asks that you do not make a mistake "overexposed" white, but I've decided to get it so the final result.
Everything is a little 'complicated for this kind of photography in which the' "moment" is more important than perfection exposure (or almost).
So what I'm saying? The picture is very nice and the exposure "limit" that clears a little 'texture of the snow and your subject apart from the rest of the composition is quite good for me, but rather is an excellent photo!
