Tim è uno degli ultimi grandi tusker rimasti in Kenya. È questo il termine usato per descrivere gli elefanti africani, solitamente maschi, con zanne tanto lunghe da raggiungere il suolo. Le magnifiche zanne sono una calamita per i bracconieri e questi grandi maschi sono costantemente a rischio. Tim è il più vecchio elefante di Amboseli. Ha 49 anni e le sue zanne pesano quasi 45 kg.
