Castagneto Carducci è tra i borghi più conosciuti della Costa degli Etruschi. Arroccato su una collina a meno di 10 km dal mare, Castagneto è sviluppato attorno all'imponente castello medievale (oggi location per eventi e feste) situato nel punto più alto del paese. La città chiamata in origine “Castagneto Marittimo” divenne, all'inizio del '900, “Castagneto Carducci” in onore del celebre poeta italiano (Giosuè Carducci) che qui trascorse parte della sua infanzia. Il borgo è, oggi, una tranquilla località di villeggiatura animata sopratutto nei mesi estivi. La spiaggia più vicina al borgo è quella di Marina di Castagneto Carducci, a circa 15 minuti di auto, dove troverete sia stabilimenti balneari attrezzati, che tratti di spiaggia libera.
