ROMA - Venezia, le grandi navi non passeranno più dal canale della Giudecca e dal bacino di San Marco. L'annuncio che mette la parola 'fine' a un dibattito che andava avanti da tempo è stato dato dal ministro dei Trasporti e delle Infrastruttire, Graziano Delrio, al termine del 'Comitatone': il comitato interministeriale che si è tenuto oggi a Roma nella sede del dicastero. Nell'arco di tre, quattro anni le navi oltre le 55mila tonnellate non passeranno più davanti a San Marco, ma approderanno a Porto Marghera attraverso il canale di Malamocco: "Saremo così in grado - ha sottolineato il sottosegretario Pier Paolo Baretta - di garantire la salvaguardia della città. Una decisione necessaria, che era ora prendere per dare risposta ad anni di dibattiti, polemiche, battaglie". Le crociere, dunque, lasceranno lentamente il bacino e il canale della Giudecca e si fermeranno a Marghera, in attesa di ulteriori analisi e studi sul canale Vittorio Emanuele che potrebbe portare le imbarcazioni fino alla stazione marittima.
