Città d'Arte e di Storia situata alla foce della Senna, Honfleur incanta subito il visitatore svelandogli il caratteristico porto per pescherecci e imbarcazioni da diporto, le stradine pittoresche e le antiche dimore di pietra, a graticcio o con pareti rivestite in ardesia. Una meravigliosa cornice che è stata fonte di ispirazione per numerosi pittori. Le banchine del Vieux Bassin, su cui si affacciano abitazioni caratteristiche e a cui portano le belle stradine costellate di gallerie d'arte e negozi, sono un invito costante al passeggio. Una magnifica scoperta, questa località! La chiesa di Saint-Catherine è un bellissimo edificio in legno del periodo fra il XV e il XVI secolo. Il campanile sul davanti, che presenta la particolarità di essere separato dalla chiesa, ospita una mostra di oggetti religiosi. Per gli appassionati d'arte, il Museo Eugène-Boudin espone collezioni di dipinti e disegni del periodo fra il XIX e il XX secolo.
