La cappella dell'Annunziata in pietra policroma, fu realizzata dallo scultore Altobello Persio da Montescaglioso per disposizione testamentaria del notaio materano Marcantonio Sanità, morto nel 1538. Al di sopra dell'altare marmoreo, collocato insieme alla balaustra a metà '700, è presente il gruppo scultoreo dell'Annunciazione; ai lati, rispettivamente a sinistra e a destra si trovano San Rocco e Santa Caterina d'Alessandria; in alto la Pietà. La volta a cassettoni si compone di 282 riquadri con al centro un Eterno Padre benedicente. Lungo le pareti alcuni sedili in pietra scandiscono altrettante nicchie terminanti in alto a forma di conchiglia.
