La farnia di Sterpo nel comune di Bertiolo (UD), sita nel parco di villa Colloredo Venier, un antico maniero del Trecento. Alta 20 mt e con una circonferenza di 8 mt. Ha tra i 500 e i 600 anni. Oggi in concomitanza con una manifestazione "castelli aperti" ho potuto visitare questa location. All'uscita sono riuscito a raggiungere uno degli organizzatori al quale ho esposto il mio disappunto per il fatto non vi fossero alcune minime barriere a separare questo monumento della natura dalle incursioni di una molteplicità di ragazzini ed adulti che pur di farsi fotografare si appoggiavano alla base del tronco. Ovviamente vista l'imponenza della farnia non potevano certo arrecare danni ma, a mio avviso, si doveva portare un educato rispetto verso la maestosità di questa pianta.
