And Gios, these are the clicks that leave you in for so long. We lovers of Nature just do not have enough to make us happy. I imagine your emotion knowing his story, which I read, to see her again this year with a little one. Congratulations on sharing this beautiful shot and message with us.

Beautiful and sweet photo Gios. If one manages to photograph in his orangut, it also means that he helped create the situation suitable for animals.
I absolutely agree with rule no. 1. It follows from all the other rules that we should observe, including an interesting corollary useful for those who "force" situations, resulting in disturbance:
LESS ANIMALS ARE DISTURBED, RESPECTING THEM AND THEIR ENVIRONMENT, BEST PICTURES.
A relaxed and quiet animal comes, approaches more, makes interesting things in front of us, keeps you ahead of the lens, with good photos.
What is the point of being invasive, plunged on all of them enthusiastic and arrogant, with the result of making a few clicks to the tail of a terrorized animal fleeing on our arrival?

I agree with everything you wrote Lambros. In my peregrinations I have seen absurd things and often with heated verbal controversies. On the other hand if you want to make good photos is the prey that has to come to you. First you have to know the territory and then the habits of the wild, so it is also less invasive. Concluding, it seems paradoxical, but less you move more chances you have to bring home good satisfactions and no disturbances. This should be the decalogue of a good hunter picture. Too often overlooked.

Gios, almost the same words I always use, "if you want to make good photos is the animal that comes from you." The concept is that, even if I say "animal" and avoid using the words "prey" or "capture", even though I know that absolutely in our jargon do not indicate cruel things ... 8-) 8-) 8-)
