Patrick - thank you and in particular, the focus was on the foreground hare and pheasant, so despite the quite small f11 aperture, at such a long focal length, depth of field has dropped off by the time it reached the barn, which is why that looks soft. The only way to improve would have been to stop the lens down even more but the light was quite low and already the iso was creeping up. I could have relied more on the lens' stabilisation, but even at this shutter speed, I was risking shake. The animals soon departed and so I had to make a quick decision and was not able to take more. |
