Utilizzata con questa funzione dal Principe Umberto, la sala ha mantenuto tratti dell'impronta stilistica di gusto rocaille conferita da Benedetto Alfieri alla metà del Settecento per le nozze di Vittorio Amedeo III e Maria Antonia Ferdinanda. Di questa fase è il motivo ornamentale del soffitto. raffinata cornice alla decorazione a losanghe monocrome realizzata invece nell'Ottocento sotto la direzione di Pelagio Palagi. Di gusto rococò le specchiere con ritratti dei sovrani che abitarono l'appartamento: fra le finestre Vittorio Amedeo III, sul camino la consorte Maria Antonia Ferdinanda, di fronte Polissena d'Assia, seconda moglie di Carlo Emanuele III che compare sulla parete accanto. Alle pareti arazzi della Manifattura Gobelins di Parigi dalla serie Storie di Don Chisciotte eseguita fra il 1746 e il 1749 dall'arazziere Michele Audran, su cartone del pittore Charles Coypel. La serie, che consta di dodici pezzi, proviene dalla Reggia di Colorno presso Parma.
