at 400mm, 1/320 f/7.1, ISO 5000, hand held. Specie: Tetrao urogallus

Gallo cedrone "Capercaillie" "Tetrao urogallus". Soggetto selvatico, Italia.

Update:
this same specimen was "ripped off" last spring by someone who grabbed him by the tail (to defend an assaulted comrade? to ruin the trophy for others?, for...)
The thing was promptly reported to the provincial police who placed two tables along the trail, so that it is now easier to impose sanctions on photographers-little-naturalists.
There was also a press conference on this issue

many galliformes lose their tail feathers during love battles or aggressions by predators, I hope it was so also for this rooster and not the act of a "photographer .."
