and 'a hooded crow? sent on February 07, 2017 (14:31) by Annamaria Pertosa. 58 comments, 1805 views.

at 250mm, 1/320 f/5.6, ISO 200, hand held. Milano, Italy.

Grazie a tutti.

Hello Anna, it is not my thing and I have not read the three pages back then ... :-D
However, for what it's worth, I see the highlights on the edge and a little sharpness ... but do not know how much you have cropped.
Of course as a first shot sounds great ... the goal do not know him but I'm sure will give you some satisfaction,
Dear good weekend.
Alexander :-)

It Hooded Crow.
a) focus on the head
b) try to be perpendicular to soggettto
c) eliminate distractions
For the rest, watching the tui beautiful shots, you already know everything.

Focus on the branches is difficult. Brava, did you do that! It's a good picture, especially considering that it is the first of its kind. I do not know the goal but, so the nose, I would say that it makes sense to close a bit 'and not use the maximum extension. In this way, it improves the quality.
Best wishes
Renato

One click to a subject just drop seen from the balcony, requires skill and alertness, though hidden by the branches makes it harder to focus and become a catch not easy for a test. Seeing the beautiful image that you made up, I propio the trigger is fully successful. Brava, a greeting alberto

It 'a Hooded Crow.
The picture is good and well composed, the light side shoots on the clear and since in reality this happens you can choose not to act, but, wanting to do it for the sake of readability you could a little 'underexpose closing more the shaded part and then correct it in PS with the lights-shadows function.
However there is a yellow cast throughout the frame you should delete giving the blue with the "PS color balance"
Best wishes Annamaria
