Gioga, the shot is a very large crop. In the original you can view the whole cat and the space around the cat. I believe uncropped you would not notice the artifacts. There is some extra sharpening as it was a rainy day and quite dark so no direct light to make the details pop naturally. She was also under a tree so even less light. I recognise myself the shot is not technically perfect, I just wanted to post something a little different : )

Tim, it wasn't so much the snarling, he would yell stop(or something to that effect) when she would move aggressively to charge the vehicle. We didn't hang around to long and almost all my shots have some motion blur because I was a little nervous and had trouble holding the camera still.
