Miss Dragonfly...

Storks/cicogne

Miss Dragonfly sent on September 11, 2016 (16:10) by Lambros. 57 comments, 2473 views. [retina]

at 500mm, 1/400 f/11.0, ISO 400, tripod. Specie: Ciconia nigra

Thanks Antonio, Gianni, Claudio your most welcome comments. Sometimes, after so many empty outputs, it happens a little 'luck. I would have been happy the simple portrait, then going even as far dragonfly.
Good light and similar meetings to all of you!

Thank you Valerio.
It was not an easy photo, and not just for the rare subject.
Black and white plumage of black adult storks gives rise to problems, and even worse the plumage of this young man of three to four months of life.
Not to mention the incidence of light in this particular stretch of river, where the hideout was and where you could not do a minimum of movement, its escape. Here is she who chooses the light, when and if it lands and grazes, not us, that we can only limit the damage by holding back and taking breath ...
