Edfu, una cittadina che, custodisce uno dei Templi meglio conservati, è piena di povera, poverissima gente... i bambini ti rincorrono in continuazione, per una caramella, un cioccolatino, e qualche spicciolo. Visi scavati ed emaciati di uomini e donne, bruciati dal sole e magri per i tanti digiugni. Negli ultimi anni, grazie a un turismo ben organizzato, si cominciava a vedere una situazione leggermente migliorata, purtroppo gli avvenimenti bellici attuali, hanno distrutto quel benessere che si trava intravvedendo.
