Steam Train's A-Coming! sent on July 04, 2016 (0:14) by AnnH. 85 comments, 3557 views. [retina]

, 1/200 f/9.0, ISO 100, hand held. Corfe Castle, United Kingdom.

Steam train and Corfe Castle in one image! I've never been to this spot before to photograph Corfe Castle, so it was fun trying to get them both in one shot! Obviously, the window of opportunity was very small! I was using the fisheye, so I had to be doubly careful not to get too close to the train :)) The fisheye makes the train look a lot further away than it actually was! Cropped a little in post processing but no attempt to correct fisheye distortion - because I like it! :)) #BlackAndWhite #Corfe Castle

Thanks very much, Claudio! I much preferred it in black and white - the colour version looked like it ought to be a jigsaw puzzle!

It Annh with the steam train was fascinating, though I must say that here the composition was very well chosen with the beautiful clouds, the ruins on the hill to the right and so many other beautiful items that are beautiful to look at, then, it is one shooting entertaining, to savor all the various details that are present .... Well done Annh .. !! ;-) :-P

That is the most wonderful comment - thank you so much, Salvo! The ruined castle that is Corfe Castle is itself a great place for photography!
