Castel Toblino si trova in uno dei luoghi più ameni non solo della Valle dei Laghi ma di tutto il Trentino. L'immagine romantica del castello che si specchia nelle verdi acque del lago è ormai famosa nel mondo. Deve la sua fama alla singolare posizione e al bellissimo ambiente che lo circonda ma anche alle tante e cupe leggende che in quel parco e tra quelle mura hanno trovato fertile terreno su cui nascere e svilupparsi. La leggenda dice che sullo sperone roccioso su cui sorge ora il castello abitavano le fate, alle quali fu dedicato nel III secolo un tempietto, nominato su una lapide murata nel portico del castello.
