Patrician - as always, a considered comment, I won't take too much offence from the 'extreme treatment' - the impact and intensity is mainly created by the very long lens (over 500mm in 35mm terms). Shooting directly into the light like this with inferior optics (it's not the best lens over 300mm) did create some flare and lack of contrast, which I had to put back in in editing, which does, of course, bolster colour somewhat, but not as extreme as you might say. The sun is only just out of the frame above, so the colour is very strong. |
