Era una soleggiata domenica di Ottobre, giornata ideale per ricercare qualche bello scatto autunnale. Il Lago d'Arpy è una meta ambita da fotografi e turisti: una conca incredibile, un laghetto circondato da larici che in autunno si colorano di pura magia. Il tutto reso ancora più maestoso dalla vista che il luogo offre sul Massiccio del Monte Bianco. Nonostante questo mi pentii subito della scelta: le persone erano sparpagliate ovunque intorno al lago. Che delusione.. Mi pareva impossibile fare qualche scatto decente con tutta quella gente,ma la speranza è l'ultima a morire e rimasi lì ad aspettare un qualcosa che neanch'io sapevo. Con il calar del sole e l'ombra che avanzava, tutti se ne andarono. Nel silenzio fu possibile godere degli ultimi raggi di sole che illuminavano i larici. Il gioco di luce e ombre mi lasciò senza parole.. "Non abbiate mai paura dell'ombra. È lì a significare che vicino, da qualche parte, c'è la luce che illumina." (Ruth E. Renkel)
