I understand what you mean but, in my opinion, you have to assess where you made the shot. To get what you say the photos had to be made very differently perhaps with a focus narrow focus in particular among the many in the scene. Using a fisheye (in this case) or at least a wide angle of course the author's intention was to make a broader vision of the pavilion .... capture a feeling together. Personally I expressed some of my concerns with Marco on the composition but it is also true that, although the shot might not expressed fully its potential, itcaptures (at least I read) the intent that he wanted to achieve.
And if you would do with a 8-15mm another in an environment like this I do not know .... maybe you can assume it completely but to share with us and with the author your idea ... of course to the extent you can imagine a scene where you're not subjectively entered (or maybe yes if you have visited Expo).
That said, I will absolutely not convince you of anything and if a photo does not like are the first who believes is correct also express a negative critique that still has to be motivated. I hope that this critical sense that I appreciate in you will continue to be there .... but without gratuitous offenses as those with regret that I read. This no.
