At the moment one of the breeding pair of Ospreys will hunt(usually the male), deliver a fish to the nest and the other Osprey will fly to a perch outside of the nest to eat. They seem to prefer not to eat in the nest when there are no chicks yet, maybe to keep the nest clean. I am not sure why they pull the head of the fish off first but I have seen them do this a few times before giving the fish to the other Osprey. Shot take at about 25 meters and wide open at 420mm with the 1.4TC
