Abdallah the reason why I was zoomed out so far is that I need to make sure that the nesting material that trailed at the back of the subject was in the frame. The lighting was perfect so not so hard to get a fairly sharp shot with a decent lens and camera even after cropping at his distance. 40 meters in not so far for a good sized raptor to maintain integrity of the subject. I am used to photographing birds only as big as this raptors fist/talons.
