Fulvio, to evaluate you do some elements of which are not 100% convinced: ambient light, depth and illumination of the rose. As written by Joseph, the flower seems lit from behind, it is actually a single beam from above, skirting the corolla makes it appear luminescent. Effect achieved by limiting much surrounding light.

Quindi non so!
Ciao!:-P

Yes, yes, and I realized I had guessed. The ray of sunshine comes from above, from the back, then from the observer the subject appears a little 'darker. The compo is really interesting ... But there is something that convinces me recently, type the two red flowers on the diagonal blur important that draws them as spots of color contrasting well ... but the one under covers a percentage of the subject and in my opinion rather than enhance it appears as a "disorder" front, perhaps not immediately but that turns out while watching the whole. So I do not know!
The colors are good, while the maf is quite selective on the petals closer. This is not too bad, but maybe open all involves a limited decrease in sharpness on the important pointsand where the eye focuses immediately. Here I can only tell you that I would do other tests with a diaphragm different ... maybe a little but then that could prove important in the final result.
For brightness ... well here it is a taste, and I like your idea. Concentrate the single beam of light on the subject means knowing how to manage the rest of the great compo, so this does not become a dark impenetrable, a minimal or not sought. So are important details that blurred to exploit them they should be somehow lit even these ... Maybe some micro artificial light from warm colors, placed where they are needed, it might be an idea ... or exploit other infiltration side of the sun. So a nice management that I think takes time and many field trials. I am always of the opinion that a blur with f2 is no better an f4 or 5.6for the simple fact that depends on the distance, from the light and from the details around. All things you can not plan at home, but must be taken reasonable care when you stand in front of the subject final.
In this case I would have preferred even a presence of light from the observer, perhaps smaller and less important, but enough to enhance even the underside of pink and I removed the flower on the left ... then as always, and rightly so everyone does what who believes more in line with your taste ....
For now, good day, if you want we'll talk! Hello! :-P

Grazie mille Fulvio!!
Sulle luci artificiali, ho fatto molte prove lo scorso anno, però abbinate a quella solare risultano "povere" e innaturali, quindi eviterei.
Ciao ;-)

Thank you so much !! Fulvio Even for concussion to write all this analysis, but helped me a lot.
I agree with everything you said, and it is the point on which I have had some difficulties.
Unfortunately with this view, which has the advantage of having a nice bokeh, if you close out of the hexagons hard not very beautiful. The solution is to make two shots, one for the subject, with a smaller aperture and the other for the background. Or a focus stacking at full aperture. Technique I tried, and leads to a good result.
On artificial lights, I made many tests last year, however, combined with solar energy are "poor" and unnatural, so I would avoid.
Agree more light on the front, which here seems a bit 'uncertain and should be valued.
Some shots are not simple and require hours of preparation, but you know better -guess average more it goes on, the more you feel the need to confront difficult situations, also to find new stimuli.
Thanks again! and a good evening :-)

Sorriso

Fabrizio Pocci, for background, being made in the garden, I was able to pick flowers and settle down in front and behind the subject, getting this variety of colors. Thanks for noticing :-)
