Sorta su un edificio preesistente, nel cuore del centro medievale di Larino, la chiesa è a pianta asimmetrica determinata evidentemente da edifici preesistenti e dalla necessità di conformarsi al tracciato urbano. La facciata e' obliqua rispetto al resto della fabbrica. L'interno della cattedrale ha tre navate di larghezza e lunghezza diseguale: tale caratteristica è determinata appunto dalla presenza di un edificio preesistente. Le prime colonne sono perfettamente simmetriche a differenza delle rimanenti (vicino al portale) indicando due differenti fasi costruttive: infatti il portale e le scale adiacenti sono disposte obliquamente rispetto all'altare
